We hiked in to a campsite by the lake. Loved the seclusion. Over a dozen hike-in campsites equipped with fire pits and log seating. Each one is unique. Parking lot has lots of family camping space with cinder block restroom building and dumpster. Not busy. Loved it.

Restrooms are always covered in bugs inside because no one shuts the toilet lids.

There's never a crowd. Perfect place to camp in peace.

It's really hard to find campgrounds that aren't overrun by big, loud RVs. They usually still charge you $20 just to pitch your tent in most places, so I am so happy to find this quiet, free campground. I don't need electricity or showers (at least for a few days). There's a lake, and campsites along the trail in the woods as well as around the parking area.

Wonderful place to camp out and get away, The people are friendly and respectful, The park rangers are knowledgeable and honest. The sheriff who patrol don't bother people who are having fun or just following the rules. Hands down the best FREE camp site in the entire state.

Nice area needs a little better maintenance.

Not too many loud people
